Is Pro a subscription?
No. It is a one-time purchase of a 1-year license. You'll get a renewal reminder before expiry; renewing is simply purchasing again.
How does activation work?
You receive a signed license key by email within 24 hours of purchase, issued to your name. Activation is one environment variable: LUMMENNA_LICENSE_KEY. Verification is a fully offline Ed25519 signature check — no license server, no phone-home, air-gapped deployments work.
What happens when my license expires?
Lummenna keeps running as the free Community Edition — fail-closed, no lockout of the software. Important: stores encrypted with the Pro encryption-at-rest feature require an active license to open, so renew first or export/decrypt before expiry.
Do I need the license on every machine?
Set LUMMENNA_LICENSE_KEY on each deployment you run within your licensed scope (one legal entity; seats = concurrent non-default tenants per deployment).
Can I try before buying?
Yes — the Community Edition is the same codebase, free under AGPL-3.0: github.com/QuantmindSSI/lummenna. Or grab the packaged download.
I bought the wrong tier / need a refund.
Email licensing@quantumindssi.com within 14 days. Refunds revoke the issued license key.
